Welcome to the podcast "From the Alps to the Rockies". "The new generation of dancers wants something else. They don't want these power games anymore," says Janyce Michellod, Swiss dancer and choreographer. Janyce is a pioneer in the area of ethics in improvisational dance. She has introduced a collective approach, where everyone contributes equally to the creative process instead of following a leader. We have interviewed Janyce Michellod during her research and teaching visit in Vancouver in September 2023.
